I have got another 12 boards ready to be varnished and have started another 28. Not bad, considering...... Tristansuperbaby and his mum have been here and they're always a welcome distraction, I had to stop working on my stuff to seal the walls of my new laundry and I'm working at half pace cos my arm is as sore as hell after some minor surgery.
The superbaby, his mum and I went to a slingwearers meeting in Petone on Friday (yesterday) . It was really neat to see the varieties of baby wearing options available today. I wish they'd been around when the superbaby's mama was new. I got shown/taught how to wear him and today I managed to get him in our UNIDO sling all by my self - not bad for an oldie....
New photos of trays etc hopefully available tomorrow for posting. Will probably do the toaster/snack set trays first.

Funky Animals for your Nursery Wall
Pictures will be added here later today and I think its gonna be easier to add just a few of the older ones, and then add the new ones as I make them.
For a full display of the animal boards, see the Studio 104 page on the Granny Kits Nursery Creations Page

Studio Space Progress
Well, the walls and ceilings are down and now we wait for the builder to insert the new french doors to the outside. The removal of the sea blue walls has lightened up the space already but, boy, is it cold down there!
We can't wait for the room to be finished and we can have our lounge back - at the moment i'm using my ironing board as a work bench at the bottom end of the lounge and the work stuff takes up so much room.
When its all finished we will have a new bathroom, new laundry and two work spaces for me - one for storing wood and stuff and one for do the creating and displaying. Its gonna be fab!

Wow, what a weekend! Everything went on hold because Tristansuperbaby came to stay the night on Saturday. Wow I had forgotten how much hard work babies can be and with Mum being at home celebrating her birthday, he was all mine. I loved every minute of having him but I was glad when I had to take him home.
I found really and truly that having a sling to use was blissful. I wish they'd been around when i'd had my babies! Thanks Sarah.unido

This cow board is one of the first animal boards for nursery walls that I made. the parents of Tristansuperbaby wanted artwork and asked me to have a go when they saw the trays i was making. They wanted giraffes! They got all sorts. Later on, I will post a pic of their nursery so you can see them and how good they look!

Funky Animal Pictures - Wild Animals
Well, another 20 animal pictures created tonight. The more I do, the more confident I am becoming in experimenting with backgrounds, colours and techniques. Thanks Helen, for your encouragement, its invaluable. Thanks also to Sarah, who has spent many hours over the last couple of weeks on skype, patiently talking me through blogging and felt, and other sites that I may be able to use to sell my animals, trays and other wooden things.
I am hoping to get time to post complete lists of the animals that I have made, boards I've sold already and those I currently have in stock. I will also be posting some pictures.
